Bridges to Hope relies on volunteers to support its food pantry and community programs in St. John’s. Volunteers assist in a range of on-site roles that help ensure food is safely prepared, organized, and distributed to the community. Opportunities are available for individuals and groups throughout the year.
Volunteer roles include:

Van Driver
Van Passenger
Baker
Group Volunteer
Some roles may require a criminal record screening and vulnerable sector check, the ability to lift up to 40 lbs, and food safety training, which can be provided. Group volunteer shifts take place when the food bank is closed to the public and are limited to a maximum of six participants per shift. All group volunteers are required to complete a volunteer information form, media authorization form, and waiver in advance.
